All ages are welcome. Young children should be supervised at all times. Respect host's homes and themes. Help in the kitchen. Alcohol is for blessing and relaxation. Friday, October 29th; circle at 7:45 p.m. potluck
to follow.
595 Warrington.
Come enjoy a warm fuzzy and kid friendly fall-harvest havurah at Kira's.
Please bring soup or a warm fall dish to share (no restrictions on food or drink), and something warm and fuzzy for the circle. The idea is to bring something that will make you and others warm---a favorite sweater to let someone else wear, a favorite kids book or toy,a beautiful music CD. If sharing these things looks like it would make the circle way too long, we'll share after we've eaten. I'm asking everyone to do a bit of cleanup as we go along, so we share in this, as well.
Directions: River Road north to , right on River Loop#2 (wherethe 7-11 is), follow it around the sharp dead-end curve and when it straightens back out, turn left at the first street, Scenic. Go down three or four blocks and right on Warrington (street sign is hard to see). Address is 595 Warrington. Beige house with dark green trim, rock front yard instead of lawn. See you there. Kira

TANGO SHABBAT with CRAIG
We will have our first ever Tango Havurah on November 26, the day
after Thanksgiving. Even if you have never danced before you are welcome
and may find yourself enjoying dancing or just watching others dance.
Due to the fact that we will have a tango lesson for absolute beginners
($5) at 8:00 PM we will meet early at 7:00 PM so we have time for our
usual prayers and pot luck. In order to enjoy the evening and have
fun dancing please try and attend the lesson. Here is how it will work:
The Tango Center
194 W. Broadway
349-8682
http://www.tangocenter.org
7:00 PM
Meet at the Tango Center near the corner of Broadway and Charnelton.
Bring your Thanksgiving leftovers and any other food, wine, and
deserts. The usual Havurah prayers and pot luck will follow.
8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Beginner Tango lesson (cost is $5). These intro to tango lessons are
fun. You don't need a partner but do bring dance shoes or shoes with
a leather sole which you can spin or slide in. To test your shoes try
doing "The Twist" on a hard wood floor. If it's easy to
twist then the shoes are good for tango.
9:00 PM till ?
Social Dance will start after the intro lesson which is the norm for
the tango center. The Social Dance is free if you have taken the
lesson at 8:00 PM. Otherwise the cost for the social dance is $5.
Even if you are a beginner you may have fun dancing in this social
setting. For followers (usually women) this is especially true
because while dancing with an experienced leader you will find yourself
floating across the floor like a Hollywood movie star from the
1940's. At some time during the evening I will play some tangos for the
social dance and I hope some of my Havarooney friends like, Chico, Youme,
Ken, Adam, Zorba and others will join me. So musicians do bring your
instruments and amps and cables to plug into a nice PA system with
monitors.
Any questions or concerns, just
call me: 485-4008
